Notice of a Special General Meeting

This provides Notice of a Special General Meeting (SGM) of the members of the Canadian Mental Health Association Alberta Division, 1984 (“CMHA Alberta”). This SGM will be held Tuesday, August 27 at 6:00 pm, doors open at 5:00 pm, at the Stanley A. Milner branch of the Edmonton Public Library, 7 Sir Winston Churchill Square, Edmonton, Alberta, for the following purpose:

To consider and, if amenable, approve a special resolution to approve the amalgamation of CMHA Alberta and Centre for Suicide Prevention, 2005, which includes appointing the Board of Directors of the new organization and adopting the new organization’s Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association.

The Board of Directors of CMHA Alberta recommends that you vote to approve the special resolution.

CMHA Alberta and Centre for Suicide Prevention share common goals and visions and for many years have worked in parallel. By coming together, we can increase our collective impact province-wide and reduce operational duplication.

Kindly complete this FORM to confirm your attendance or to complete your proxy, identifying Brent Korte, Board Chair of CMHA Alberta or one of your colleagues to represent you, by Monday, August 26 at 4:30 pm MT. Alternatively, your designate can bring the proxy to the meeting. Registrations of proxies will be available for 60 minutes prior to the meeting being called to order.
