- The Alberta Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health – The voice of the mental illness and mental health community in Alberta.
- The Centre for Suicide Prevention – A branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association, CSP is an education centre with the largest English language library dedicated to the collection and dissemination of suicide prevention, intervention and postvention resources. CSP educates people with the information, knowledge and skills necessary to respond to the risk of suicide. We teach prevention because prevention is the only solution to suicide.
- The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) – A non-profit, grassroots, self-help, support and advocacy organization of consumers, families, and friends of people with severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and anxiety disorders. In addition to 1,200 state and local affiliates in the United States, NAMI has affiliates in the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada, and American Samoa, and has helped start sister organizations in Australia, Japan, and the Ukraine.
- Alberta Mental Health Patient Advocate Office – The Advocate’s office serves as an independent investigative body and as a resource for the mental health community.
